Aberdeen Singapore Fund, Inc.
A closed-end investment fund that bought shares in Singaporean companies and others across Southeast Asia, giving everyday investors a stake in that region's stock markets. Founded in 1990 as The Singapore Fund, it later took the "Aberdeen" name from its Scottish manager, Aberdeen Asset Management, based in the city of Aberdeen. In 2018, shareholders voted to fold it into a broader Aberdeen fund, ending its run as a standalone exchange-listed company.
