National Financial Partners Corp

An insurance broker and consultant, National Financial Partners (now NFP) connects businesses and individuals with property and casualty coverage, corporate benefits, retirement plans, and wealth management through a nationwide network of advisory firms. Founded in 1998 with backing from the private-equity firm Apollo, it was built by gathering independent financial planning and brokerage firms under one umbrella while letting each keep its own brand and entrepreneurial feel. The name says it all: "National" for a coast-to-coast network, "Financial" for the sector, and "Partners" for the member firms that stayed autonomous. In 2024 it became part of the global professional-services firm Aon.
