Aberdeen Singapore Fund Inc
A US-listed closed-end fund that invested in companies traded on the Singapore Exchange — Singaporean banks, industrial firms, and telecoms. It traces its name to Aberdeen Asset Management, the Scottish firm founded in the city of Aberdeen that managed the fund and built a big Singapore presence from 1992. Fun twist: the fund was folded into another Aberdeen fund in 2018, and the parent company later rebranded itself "abrdn" — dropping the vowels in a famously quirky rebrand.
