New America High Income Fund, Inc
A closed-end investment fund that pools shareholder money into a diversified portfolio of U.S. high-yield bonds — the securities commonly called "junk bonds" — aiming to pay out steady current income, and managed by investment adviser T. Rowe Price Associates. It was formed in November 1987, in the era when the junk-bond market was booming, and its "New America" name captured that wave of financing American corporate activity — it has no connection to the Washington think tank of the same name. Its shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange in early 1988.
