Western Asset Managed High Income Fund Inc.
A closed-end investment fund that pooled money to buy high-yield, or "junk," corporate bonds in search of a steady stream of income, managed by Western Asset Management, the bond shop founded in 1971 by United California Bank and now part of Franklin Templeton. It traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker MHY before shareholders voted in 2016 to fold it into the sister fund Western Asset High Income Opportunity Fund. A fun quirk: the MHY ticker it left behind was later reused by a completely unrelated exchange-traded fund.
