Cyberoptics Corp
A maker of high-precision 3D sensors and inspection systems, CyberOptics helps electronics manufacturers keep production accurate and quality-controlled using products like WaferSense wireless measurement sensors and automated optical inspection systems for circuit boards. It was founded in 1984 by a University of Minnesota professor aiming to commercialize non-contact 3D sensing, and its first product was a laser-based Point Sensor, one of the earliest digital range sensors. In 2022 the Minneapolis-based company was acquired by Nordson and joined that firm's test and inspection division.
