Cadence Bank
A regional bank serving everyday consumers, businesses, and corporations with checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, mortgages, and business lending across the American South. Its roots reach back to an 1876 charter granted to a bank opened inside a hardware store in Verona, Mississippi, which grew into BancorpSouth. The Cadence name came from a Houston banking platform launched in 2009, chosen to suggest a steady, rhythmic way of banking; when it merged with BancorpSouth in 2021, the combined company kept the Cadence name to shake off its old regional label.
