A mining company focused on a copper, nickel, and precious-metals deposit in northeastern Minnesota. Its NorthMet project, set in the Duluth Complex along the eastern edge of the Mesabi Iron Range, would mine those metals by reusing the site of a former LTV Steel taconite plant near Hoyt Lakes. Incorporated in 1981 as Fleck Resources Ltd. and later renamed, the company joined with Teck Resources in 2023 to run the project as a fifty-fifty venture called NewRange Copper Nickel.
