Cantor Equity Partners Ii, Inc.
A "blank check" company, or SPAC, that raises money from public investors and uses it to buy or merge with a private business. Sponsored by an affiliate of the Wall Street firm Cantor Fitzgerald, it went public in 2025 and then merged with Securitize, a platform that turns real-world assets like funds and bonds into digital tokens on a blockchain. Led by Brandon Lutnick, the son of Cantor Fitzgerald's chairman Howard Lutnick who later became U.S. Secretary of Commerce, the deal transformed the shell company into the blockchain firm now trading as Securitize.
