Prudential Plc
A life insurance and asset management group focused on Asia and Africa, selling savings, protection and retirement products under the Prudential brand to millions of households. It began in London in 1848 as a friendly society that financed working people's loans, later famous for door-to-door "penny policies" that let factory workers insure themselves for a penny a week. Its name comes from the word "prudent," and its logo still bears the face of Prudence, the Roman goddess of foresight.
American Depositary Receipt (ADR) representing ordinary shares of Prudential plc, listed on NYSE.
